What the Grammarly Affiliate Program is

The Grammarly Affiliate Program is Grammarly's own affiliate program. If you join, you promote Grammarly and earn commission on the actions its terms allow. Read it before you sign up, because it sets what counts and what can get you in trouble.

The networks Grammarly's operating agreement covers

Grammarly's operating agreement covers affiliate offers on four networks: Has Offers, Commission Junction, Partner Stack and Share-A-Sale. That is what the agreement itself says. The agreement you accept is Grammarly's own, so its rules apply no matter which network you use.

What consumer affiliates earn commission on

The agreement says consumer affiliates can earn commission on two things: an Account Sign-Up or a Purchase. That is the whole list. Grammarly does not promise a rate on this page, and no number here should be guessed. Check Grammarly's own terms on the day you join.

The Grammarly Business program and seat limits

Grammarly also has a Grammarly Business program. Its operating agreement says it pays for self-serve customers with up to 149 seats.

Rules in Grammarly's operating agreement: trademark bidding and coupon codes

Two rules stand out in the agreement.

First, it bans bidding on keywords that include Grammarly's trademarks on pay-per-click search engines. If you run paid search ads, you cannot bid on Grammarly's name. This rule is Grammarly's own.

Second, affiliates may not use coupon codes that Grammarly did not provide. If you find a code floating around the web, do not put it on your site. Only codes from Grammarly count as allowed.

How payouts and tracking work (linking out)

How money reaches you, and when, is covered in how affiliate payouts are sent. How long a click counts is covered in what a cookie window is.

Disclosing your affiliate relationship (linking out)

Disclosure has its own page. The rules for that are on the FTC affiliate disclosure requirements page.
