The ClickBank affiliate marketplace is a place where affiliates find products to promote. ClickBank itself runs it. That makes it different from a single store's affiliate program, where one company offers only its own products. ClickBank's affiliate page describes how its marketplace side works.
What the ClickBank affiliate marketplace is
ClickBank is a marketplace. Product sellers list their items there. Affiliates browse those listings and pick products to promote.
This setup is closer to an affiliate network than to one company's in-house program. A network brings many sellers and many affiliates together in one place. CJ Affiliate is one such network, with its own separate page on this site.
Getting started: the free ClickBank account
ClickBank's affiliate page says you sign up for a free ClickBank account to access products. There is no fee named on the page. Once the account exists, you can look through the marketplace and choose what to promote.
How ClickBank says affiliates are paid
ClickBank's affiliate page says affiliates can be paid by revenue share or by cost per action.
Revenue share means the affiliate gets a share of the sale. Cost per action is different. ClickBank's affiliate page says cost per action pays a set dollar amount. That amount is fixed, rather than a percentage of what the buyer spent.
For how programs state payout lines in general, see how affiliate payouts are sent. ClickBank's own page is the source for what ClickBank does.
Product vetting on ClickBank's marketplace
ClickBank's affiliate page says it vets every product for FDA and FTC compliance. That is ClickBank's own statement about its marketplace. It does not mean every product suits every audience. Read each product's listing yourself before you promote it.
ClickBank's linking terms
ClickBank's website terms set rules for linking to its site.
- You may link to the site's homepage only, not to other pages.
- You must not link in a way that suggests ClickBank endorses you.
Those terms come from ClickBank's website terms of use, not from its affiliate page. Read them on ClickBank's own site, since terms can change.
Disclosure has its own page. See FTC affiliate disclosure requirements.
